
Zesty Pizza Bake

1 Pound Lean Ground Beef

8 Ounces Pepperonis - Sliced into Strips

2-3 Cups Shredded Mozzarella

2 Medium Yellow Onions - Thinly Sliced

2 Garlic Cloves - Minced

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Red Pepper Flakes

2 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter - Melted

Garlic Salt

2 Can Pillsbury Crescents

10 Ounce Jar of Your Favorite Spaghetti Sauce
(1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
(2) Heat oil in a skillet over medium high heat, add onions an saute until tender. Set aside. In the same skillet brown ground beef, until not longer pink. Add onions, pepperonis and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the pepperonis are heated through and garlic is fragrant. Stir in 1 cup of sauce and red pepper flakes to taste.
(3) Spray a 9X13 baking dish. Roll out one can of crescents and lay in the bottom of the baking dish. Spread pizza sauce over the crescent, half the meat mixture and half the cheese. Layer remaining pizza sauce, meat mixture and cheese. Roll out the second can of crescents over the last layer of cheese. Brush the top layer of crescent with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic salt. Bake for 30 minutes, until crescents are browned and edges are bubbly.
