Spinach Artichoke Pull Apart Bread

Recipe Originated From: Tasty - Created by Angela Harcrow

  • 2 Sheets Puff Pastry - Thawed

  • 8 Oz Cream Cheese - Softened

  • 14 Oz Artichokes Hearts - Drained & Chopped

  • 3/4 Cup Spinach - I used a steam bag of spinach, popped in the microwave/cooked it, pulled out the amount I needed, place it in a cup towel and squeezed out the excess liquid.

  • 1/4 Cup Sour Cream

  • 1/2 Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese

  • 1/2 Cup Mozzarella Cheese - Shredded

  • 2 Teaspoons Garlic Powder

  • 1 Teaspoon Kosher Salt

  • 1 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper

  • 1/2 Teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes

  • 1 Egg - Beaten

(1)  Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

(2)  In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, artichokes, spinach, sour cream, parmesan, mozzarella, garlic powder, salt, pepper and red pepper flakes.

(3)  Lay out the puff pastry, one at a time, and place a dinner plate down and cut into a circle.  I had to roll out my pastry to be large enough to accommodate a dinner plate size circle.  Repeat with the second sheet, you want them to be the same size.  I used a baking stone but you can also line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

(4)  Place one circle of puff pastry on the baking stone.  Spread the artichoke mixture evenly over the top of the sheet.  Place the second circle on top of the artichoke mixture.  Use a skinny glass or very small bowl in the center of the circle.  Cut 12 equally space strips.  Twist each strip and brush with beaten egg.

(5)  Bake for 30 minutes, or until golden.

This is amazing!!!  You can make the filling ahead of time and put it together when you are ready to bake.  This can be served as an appetizer or as a side for dinner.  We served this with grilled chicken thighs!
