Cheesy Bread Dip
Recipe Originated From My Sister Michelle...
-
8 Ounces Sour Cream
-
8 Ounces 1/3 Less Fat Cream Cheese
-
4.5 Ounces Chopped Green Chiles
-
4 Ounces Sliced Dried Beef - Finely Diced
-
1 1/2 Cups Mild Cheddar Cheese - Shredded
-
Large Loaf French Bread
(1) Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
(2) Cut the top of the bread off (about 1/2" thick) and pick out the center of the bread. Be very careful not to pierce the side of the bread loaf. Discard the bread from the center and keep the top you cut off.
(3) Mix all ingredients together and spoon into the loaf. Place the top back on the loaf to seal in the filling. Wrap the bread in foil and bake for 1 hour.
(4) Discard the top of the loaf and gently mix the dip inside the loaf. Serve immediately.
This can be served with crackers, Frito's (my favorite) or tortilla chips. If you can't find a loaf big enough, spoon the mixture into a greased 9X9 baking dish and bake @ 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
